OPEN TRAINING 2009

For a second year running the Manchester United Foundation will host the annual Open Training family day at Old Trafford.

The Theatre of Dreams will open its gates from 09:00 on Saturday 8 August 2009 and will give supporters a unique chance to see the Premier League champions being put through their paces by Sir Alex before the start of the 2009/10 season.

The whole day is a family event and all proceeds will be donated to the Foundation and the projects it supports in the community.

Tickets are on sale now priced £6 adults and £3 for seniors and juniors. Book now.

FA COMMUNITY SHIELD

Barclays Premier League champions Manchester United will play FA Cup winners Chelsea in the 2009 FA Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday 9 August.

United have won the Shield outright a record 13 times and are the current holders after beating Portsmouth on penalties in August last year. The Reds last contested the Shield with Chelsea in 2007 with Sir Alex's side winning 3-0 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

Executive Members and Season Ticket holders can apply for tickets for this game online or by calling 0161 868 8000 from 08:00 Monday 13 July until 08:00 on Monday 20 July.
