Ticket News: Carling Cup, Besiktas away plus Wolfsburg, Sunderland and Bolton home

UNITED TO PLAY WOLVES IN CARLING CUP THIRD ROUND

Carling Cup holders United have been drawn at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of this year's competition.

The tie will be played on Wednesday 23 September, kick off 20:00 GMT and Mick McCarthy will bring a side that has enjoyed a solid start to the league campaign.

Tickets are on general sale now and can be purchased online, by calling 0161 868 8000 (option 1 then 4) or by visiting theMegastore.

The deadline for Season Ticket holders to 'opt out' of purchasing a ticket was 20:00 on Tuesday 1 September and has therefore now passed.

BESIKTAS AWAY
United have been drawn in Group B of this year's UEFA Champions League Group Stage and will play CSKA Moscow, Besiktas and Wolfsburg.

It'll be the first time the Reds have played any of the three sides who each qualified automatically via their respective leagues.

Sir Alex's side will play Besiktas at the BJK İnönü Stadium onTuesday 15 September (KO 19:45 GMT) and Executive Members, Season Ticket holders and One United Members who are part of the MU Travel Club can apply for tickets to this match online or by calling 0161 868 8000 until 20:00 Monday 7 September.

The club will receive an allocation of approximately 1,400 tickets, with VIP seats priced at €120 and standard seats costing €40. Supporters are advised that tickets issued at €40 will be restricted view seats. Supporters will be required to fill in the online travel report before travelling to Turkey. All tickets posted by special delivery at a cost of £4.95 per booking.
WOLFSBURG HOME

United's first Champions League Group B home game of the campaign is against German champions VfL Wolfsburg at Old Trafford on Wednesday 30 September (KO 19:45).

Sir Alex has highlighted Group B as a tough one for the Reds and he believes Wolfsburg pose his side a genuine threat, so this game promises to be an intriguing encounter between England and Germany's finest.

SUNDERLAND HOME

New Sunderland boss Steve Bruce didn't waste any time recruiting strikers this summer with both Darren Bent and ex-Red Fraizer Campbell drafted in to bolster his strikeforce.

United will come up against ex-Red Bruce's new-look Black Cats on Saturday 3 October (KO 17:30) and One United Members can apply for tickets to this match now online, or by calling 0161 868 8000 .

BOLTON HOME
Bolton may have enjoyed their trips to Old Trafford during the Sam Allardyce era, but United have dominated in recent years, winning the last six matches in Manchester.

But Gary Megson's men have lost their opening three Barclays Premier League matches this season and will be eager to improve in the matches ahead of this game on Saturday 17 October (KO 15:00).
